- Berkeley rent stabilization board: Regulates residential rent increases in Berkeley, works to protect unwarranted rent increases and evictions, and to provide a fair return to property owners. The Berkeley Rent Board has campus office hours on every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 10am-12pm in the Basic Needs Center (Lower Level MLK Student Union B North). - Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS): All students have access to free short-term counseling, regardless of insurance plan. CAPS makes an effort to have a multicultural staff, and you may request an LGBT provider, or a provider who shares your ethnic identity. In addition to individual and couples’ counseling, CAPS has psychiatrists on staff to manage medication needs, and offers group counseling on campus.

- Educational Opportunity Program (EOP): Guidance and resources for first-generation and low-income students, including academic counseling and support for academic probation. They have special resources for STEM students.
