Jennifer Doudna Named 2014 National Academy of Inventors Fellow
Jennifer Doudna has been elected to the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) as a 2014 NAI Fellow. Her breakthrough invention of CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing technology has created a revolution in genomic research and is now being used by researchers around the globe for applications in basic research, medicine, human health, agriculture and bio energy. NAI Fellowship is a “professional distinction accorded to academic inventors who have demonstrated a highly prolific spirit of innovation in creating or facilitating outstanding inventions that have made a tangible impact on quality of life, economic development, and the welfare of society.”
