Doudna and “CRISPR Pioneers” are Runners-Up for TIME’s Person of the Year
IGI Executive Director Jennifer Doudna has been selected as a runner-up for TIME‘s 2016 Person of the Year Award. She and other “CRISPR Pioneers” – including Emmanuelle Charpentier, Carl June, Kathy Niakan, and Feng Zhang – received this honor for establishing the transformative CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing system and developing its imminent applications in biomedicine.
