Responsible Discourse about CRISPR Ethics
To facilitate discussions about the far-reaching implications of CRISPR genetic modification technology, the IGI co-presented the 3rd Annual UC Davis Stem Cell Research Policy and Ethics Symposium in May 2016. Highlights included Alta Charo (Professor of Law and Bioethics at the University of Wisconsin at Madison) discussing “Science as Heresy in 21st Century” and Hank Greely (Professor of Law at Stanford University) on “Why the Biggest Near-Term Issues with CRISPR Are its Uses in Non-Humans.”
