National Academies’ Gene Editing Ethics Meeting 4
The NAS/NAM Human Gene Editing Initiative Consensus Study Committee held its final public meeting on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, in Washington, DC. In this meeting, committee members heard from invited experts and discussed social issues associated with human gene editing, including race and genetics in US history and the intersection of moral views and public policy. The entire meeting was presented via live video webcast. The committee’s final report is expected in late 2016.
