CRISPR Exhibit at Lawrence Hall of Science
Known for their interactive exhibits and immersive STEM experiences for all ages, the Lawrence Hall of Science attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year. Their latest attraction is one that you won’t want to miss!
We designed an eclectic CRISPR exhibit for the Hall’s summer UC Berkeley Inventors Showcase. Due to popular demand, the display is now staying up through December!
Try to beat Phage Invaders, our heart-racing new video game that demonstrates how bacteria use CRISPR proteins to fend off invading viruses. Scroll through a stunning gallery displaying hundreds of organisms that have had their genetic code edited using CRISPR technology. Step up close to real bacterial cells that have changed color after CRISPR editing. And don’t forget to share your own opinions on how this powerful technology could and should be used!
We strive to make our events accessible and inclusive. The Innovative Genomics Institute Building is ADA compliant, and has a lactation room that visitors can use. For disability accommodation information and/or access to the lactation room, please contact the event organizer or email igi-info@berkeley.edu.
