Rohan Sachdeva is a metagenomics researcher who oversees high performance computational infrastructure at the Innovative Genomics Institute.
His research focuses on everything related to natural microbial and viral populations across human and environmental microbiomes. This ranges from the discovery of novel microbes, viruses, and other genetic elements to understanding the fundamental ecological processes that govern them. Implementation of computational systems and the development of bioinformatic methods for the recovery of high fidelity genomes from large scale data is key to this discovery work.
