Dr. George Church, renowned researcher and visionary in the fields of genetic sequencing, synthetic biology, genome engineering and evolutionary biology, will visit the UC Berkeley campus to speak about the future of CRISPR technology and its impact on society.

Dr. Church, Professor at Harvard & MIT, has co-authored 450 papers, 95 patent publications & the book Regenesis. He developed methods used for the first genome sequence (1994), genome recoding and million-fold cost reductions. He co-initiated the BRAIN Initiative (2011) and Genome Projects (1984, 2005) to provide & interpret the world’s only open-access personal precision medicine datasets.
